Chasing 189 for victory, Rajasthan Royals got off to a brisk start against Delhi Capitals in Delhi on Wednesday.

They raced to 50/0 in five overs with openers Yashavi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson looking in good touch. Samson then hit Vipraj Nigam for a four and a six but was forced to retire hurt on 31 with a rib injury.

Delhi finally got their first wicket in the ninth over when Riyan Parag was castled by Axar Patel for eight after Rajasthan had reached 76. Jaiswal motored along to his fifty off just 34 balls but fell after adding just one more run. It was Kuldeep Yadav who made the breakthrough as Jaiswal holed out to Mitchell Starc on the long-on boundary, leaving Rajasthan at 112/2.
