Court says selective publication of the preliminary report paved way for a 'media narrative'
The Supreme Court on Monday issued notice on a plea seeking an independent and expeditious investigation into the June 12, 2025, crash of an Air India Boeing Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, which killed 265 people.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N K Singh also termed as “unfortunate and irresponsible” media reports which indicated that “pilot error” was to blame for the crash, purportedly quoting some preliminary findings by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
