Capital gears up for record winter power demand

Delhi is bracing for a record-breaking winter power demand, following an unprecedented summer peak of 8656 MW.

NEW DELHI: The State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) forecasts that this winter's demand could surpass 6300 MW, exceeding last year's peak of 5816 MW. The BRPL and BYPL areas are projected to see peaks of over 2600 MW and 1240 MW, respectively.
