Plans to turn pub into eight apartments turned down

PLANS to turn a pub into flats have been officially turned down by councillors.

The application to convert an existing public house into eight apartments in Brynmair Road, Cwmaman, was officially refused by Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) Council's planning committee on Thursday.

The application came to committee in May, with officers recommending approval, but members were minded to refuse it because they considered the proposed development would represent overdevelopment of the site, resulting in the level of accommodation being poor.

Further concern was raised the development would provide an insufficient level of parking.
