Manila Vice Mayor Chi Atienza has partnered with the City Veterinarian and the Biyaya Animal Care Foundation to launch a free spay and neuter program for cats and dogs in the City of Manila, in a landmark move to promote animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.

The initiative, which aims to offer accessible veterinary services while addressing the city's growing stray animal population, was officially confirmed during a courtesy meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
