Police seek to resolve teen gang violence in Taguig

The Taguig police and Southern Police District are seeking to stop clashes between teen gangs in the city.

Last Aug. 2, the Taguig police responded to a teen gang riot on Ipil-Ipil Street in Barangay Lower Bicutan.

"That evening, Police Substation 12 received a 911 call regarding the incident. Responding officers were immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene; however, no active commotion was observed. Further verification revealed that the altercation had already occurred earlier, at around 8:30 PM," the Taguig police said in a statement.

They added, "Officers then proceeded to Barangay Lower Bicutan Barangay Hall to review nearby CCTV footage, which confirmed a disturbance involving rival youth groups reportedly members of True Brown Style 13 (TBS) from Bicol Drive and another group from 5th Street, VP Cruz."

Several minors were confirmed to be participants in the riot.
