Passports of Harry Roque, 4 others canceled amid human trafficking probe

A court in Pasig City announced the cancellation of the passports of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, Lucky 99 representative Cassandra Ong, and thre as the probe continues on the alleged illegal activities involving Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) in Porac, Pampanga.

Roque said he will file a motion for reconsideration as he sought prayers following what he claimed as politically charged allegations. On the other hand, the Department of Justice (DOJ) offered a ₱1-million reward for any information that will lead to the arrest of Ong, who was reported to have been last seen in Japan.

According to the authorities, the case stemmed from the rescue of 158 foreign employees from the Lucky 99 scam hub, where they suffered from severe torture, kidnapping, and sex trafficking.
