Pasay cops recover getaway vehicle of Salisi Gang behind robbery of Comelec chair

Members of the Pasay City Police have recovered the getaway vehicle used by the suspects believed to be behind the robbery inside a Pasay City restaurant on Wednesday, Aug. 20, that victimized Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia.
The recovery of the suspects' vehicle in Cabuyao, Laguna was made during the conduct of followup and backtracking operations for the arrest of the remaining suspects behind the brazen daylight robbery.
Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto said the getaway vehicle, a Toyota Innova with plate number ZEF 399, was rented by the suspects for P3,000 from Joselito Celones and Nelia San Jose Ortega of Cabuyao, Laguna.
De Sesto said Celones and Ortega gave their statement to the police and revealed that the vehicle recovered was rented from them by a certain Boboy.
He stated that the vehicle was impounded after recovery and will be used as evidence in the case against the suspects.
