Marcos vows to create more programs for farmers

President Marcos said his administration will keep implementing initiatives for farmers, stressing that they are one of the key foundations of the country.

“Buong puso po ang pasasalamat namin sa inyo. At hindi po titigil ang administrasyong ito sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa na magpapabuti ng iyong mga kinabukasan (Our heartfelt thanks to you. This administration will not stop in implementing programs to give you a better future),” Marcos said on Monday, June 2.

The President made the statement when he led the turnover of 229 newly procured operations and maintenance equipment and vehicles under the third tranche of the National Irrigation Administration’s (NIA) Re-fleeting Program in Barangay Wawa, Taguig City.

According to Marcos, the initiative is the government's response to the effects of climate change and extreme weather conditions, including the El Niño phenomenon.
