In an 8 a.m. advisory on Monday, Sept. 15, the Phivolcs reported that volcano-tectonic (VT) earthquakes occurred between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m., with magnitudes ranging from ML0.8 to ML3.6.

"These events ranged in strength between ML0.8 and ML 3.6 and were generated at zero to 12 kilometers depths beneath the northwestern flanks of the volcanic edifice," the agency said.

It noted that the strongest of the earthquakes was felt at Intensity I in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, and Canlaon City, Negros Oriental.
