Washington-based International Monetary Fund (IMF) has again lowered its economic growth forecast for the Philippines for both this year and next, as mounting tariffs are expected to hurt investments into the country and its exports.

NEW PACT BOOSTS VEHICLE SAFETY, IP PROTECTION IN PH -- The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) has signed the e-commerce memorandum of understanding (MOU) with online platforms Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, a move witnessed by the Intellectual Property office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). This collaboration aims to protect consumers from counterfeit automotive products and promote vehicle safety across the country. The MOU establishes a Code of Practice and enhances collaboration for effective Notice and Takedown (NTD) procedures against online sales of pirated goods.
