Freestyle to reignite OPM memories across Canada

Freestyle will light up Vancouver on March 20, Winnipeg on March 21, and Edmonton on March 29, according to their official website.

Before heading to Canada, Freestyle will spread the love on Feb. 13 with their Valentine's concert "Stages of Love" at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, followed by a special performance at 12 Monkeys, Estancia Mall, on May 25.

The current Freestyle lineup features Ian Tan, Gibson Viduya, IJ Garcia, Buoy Manalo, and the iconic Top Suzara.

"After years away from our friends and fans abroad, I'm thrilled to bring a revitalized Freestyle across borders. We're eager to share new songs live—many fans already know them, but hearing them together in person is something special. I can't wait for the Canada shows," Top shared in a recent interview in Quezon City.

Top reminisced about Freestyle's inaugural Canadian tour back in 2003. He parted ways with the band two years later but has since returned, now leading a fresh lineup.

"It's not just about reintroducing myself—it's about steering Freestyle into a bold new chapter. With our revamped team, we're focused on this fresh start and building something remarkable together," Top emphasized.

When asked how performing overseas compares to local gigs, Top likened it to reuniting with a long-lost friend: "It's like you haven't seen each other in ages, but when you do, it feels like yesterday. Each concert is an instant reunion—a convergence of musical journeys, with new memories created in every show."

Top expressed his excitement to perform for Filipinos abroad, especially to honor overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), whom he deeply respects.

"As a touring artist, I always strive to bring a piece of home to them. Even when they're far away, they're never forgotten. We're vocal in celebrating OFWs — our highly respected kababayans.
