Ex-DepEd head Briones, 13 others charged in P2.4-B laptop case

The Office of the Ombudsman (OMB) has ordered the filing of criminal charges against former Department of Education (DepEd) secretary Leonor M. Briones and 13 others for the P2.4 billion alleged overpriced and outdated laptops purchased for public school teachers in 2021.

Aside from Briones, also ordered charged with graft and falsification were former DepEd Finance undersecretary Annalyn M.
