DHSUD: Private developers commit 250,000 housing units nationwide

Over 250,000 housing units were committed by private developers across the country as more companies expressed willingness to fund the national government's housing for poor and low-income earners, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said the 250,000 units were the commitment of at least 42 private developers under the expanded housing program after the inclusion of horizontal developments or subdivision-like housing projects into the flagship program.
