₱500-M shabu recovered in Central Visayas

Shabu valued at more than ₱500 million was seized in the past six months in Central Visayas.
The Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) reported that from January to June, 4,101 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted.
Confiscated were 76,120.35 grams of shabu worth ₱517,618,380, ₱3,038,814 marijuana, 250 grams of cocaine (₱1.3 million), and 60 tablets of Ecstasy (₱102,000).
The campaign resulted in the arrest of 238 high-value individuals, 2,522 street-level drug pushers, and 1,973 newly identified drug personalities.
Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, chief of PRO-7, said the value of illegal drugs seized was a reflection of the region’s effective anti-illegal drug strategy.
