Neglected dog put in nappy by cruel owners
Manchester Evening News
|December 05, 2025
A COUPLE have been convicted of neglecting a dog the RSPCA found inside their home with a baby's nappy on.
-
Darren Humphries, 47, and Wendy Dow, 45, both pleaded guilty in court to offences under the Animal Welfare Act.
The RSPCA said it launched an investigation in March this year after two officers visited their home on Morris Street, Goldwick, Oldham, following welfare concerns raised about a female tan crossbreed named Ella.
The animal welfare charity said the dog was 'extremely underweight' with 'prominent ribs' and was wearing a nappy secured with hair ties.
