A DEVASTATED widow says she has been left ‘lost’ and desperate for answers after the body of her beloved husband was buried without a heart.

Yvonne and Michael Graley had been enjoying a family holiday in Cyprus in August, when their break quickly turned into a nightmare.

Days into the trip, Michael began complaining of cramp in his leg. The 76-year-old was later found slumped off his bed in the early hours by their daughter, Hayley.

Panic-stricken, Hayley, 47, called an ambulance and Michael was rushed to Amochostos General Hospital, in Paralimni, which was just 10 minutes away from their villa. The family followed behind.

On arrival the family, from Oldham, say they were delivered horrendous news by a doctor. Michael had died.

“We got there a couple of minutes after the ambulance,’ said Yvonne, 73. “We stood near the window to the reception, looked right at this doctor and he said: ‘He’s dead! We felt shocked. Heartbroken.”
