Dad hit by Range Rover has faced 40 hours of ops

Lewis Rimmer with his wife Sarah and daughters Amelia and Maddison

A DAD-OF-TWO knocked down by a Range Rover has required more than 40 hours of surgery in the months since the incident, his wife has revealed.

Lewis Rimmer was knocked down by a Range Rover outside the Sainsbury's Local on Darwen Road in Bromley Cross in Bolton on October 27 last year.

The 41-year-old had gone inside to buy a lottery ticket and was in the car park outside the store when he was struck, getting crushed against a steel pillar before the car then ploughed into the shop building.
