Shop owner is left devastated at theft of designer handbags

THE owner of a high-end fashion boutique has been left 'absolutely devastated' after thieves tunnelled into her store and stole handbags worth more than £250,000.

Christine Colbert, from Dress Cheshire, in Prestbury, says the raid, which happened on Sunday, June 8 at around 11.40pm, was 'very well planned and organised.

Three men spent around an hour drilling through a wall shared with the disused building next door to get into the shop, then took designer handbags before making off.

Christine said: "The police arrived within minutes of the burglary taking place. They (the burglars) actually gained entry by making a hole through our wall here which is three feet deep and half a metre wide.

"It took them an hour to drill and bore their way into the shop," she said.
