Second half century for Jimi

RUNCORN were the visitors to Parkside in a top of the table clash and they asked Macc Thirds to bat first after winning the toss.

Jimi Tibbits and Chris Moores made a great start, falling just 2 runs short of a 50-run opening partnership as Moores was bowled for 20 making it 48-1.

Shakthi Krishnan joined Tibbits and they added 51, Krishnan falling for 29 to leave Macc on 99-2.

Chris Flint joined Tibbits and they produced another large partnership putting Macc into a great position.

Tibbits reached his 50, his second for the club, as the Macc total went past 100 and then through 150.

With overs running out, more risks were taken and Tibbits was eventually bowled for 78 (from 104 balls with twelve 4s) with the score on 173-3.
