MONEY raised at this year’s Macclesfield Charity Beer Festival has been given to charity beneficiaries.
The money raised at Macclesfield Charity Beer Festival is handed over
The event took place at Macclesfield Rugby Club on May 9 and 10 and saw more than 3,000 attending and around 12,800 pints of beers, perries and ciders consumed.
This week proceeds were handed out with the Cheshire branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) receiving £20,000.
This will be used to fund home adaptation equipment and other essential items for those impacted by the condition.
James Hogben, chair of the festival, explained why the committee had chosen the MNDA.
