THE Fourths travelled to Bredbury knowing they'd be in for a tough game as the hosts were at the top of the league having scored in excess of 200 in all their matches of the season to date.
Skipper Keith Dixon chose to field first on winning the toss.
Macc took an early wicket as Patel was caught by Sam McDowell off Stuart Parks with the score on 18 but further success eluded them.
Despite the lack of wickets Macc were keeping the pressure on with tight bowling especially from Matt Cunningham who produced an opening spell of 7-3-10-0.
