OUR main image this week shows three happy Manchester City footballers who've just learned they've been called up for the England squad after a tough training session.

The year is 1968 and the three City players taking a breather are, from left, midfield dynamo Colin Bell, striker Frances Lee and winger Mike Summerbee.

Bell won his first senior England cap in a 3-1 victory over Sweden in May 1968. His attacking play helped inspire goals for Martin Peters, Roger Hunt and Bobby Charlton of Manchester United.
