Rooftop park to be unveiled at carnival

A CARNIVAL of animals parade, live music and comedy, plus a sculpture trail will take over Stockport next weekend as the town hosts a free weekend of events.

The Stockport Town of Culture Weekender will span more than 50 events across 25 locations.

It marks the end of the town's Greater Manchester Town of Culture status which was awarded to it last year.

Stockport's new rooftop park, which will be unveiled to the public in the coming days will play host to many of the activities.
