EVERTON are open to allowing Adam Aznou to depart on loan if their squad selection crisis eases this month.
The defender joined from Bayern Munich in the summer but is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League for his new club.
David Moyes is eager to encourage his development but there is an acceptance the teenager might benefit from an opportunity to earn senior minutes elsewhere in the second half of the campaign.
While there is a willingness to listen to interest in a temporary switch for Aznou, Moyes is unlikely to sanction an exit unless and until more senior players start to return to availability.
Aznou was one of nine summer signings as Everton undertook the first steps in a squad rebuild that will take multiple transfer windows to complete.
Backed by new owners the Friedkin Group, the club sought to strengthen in a host of areas after inheriting a playing group that had been weakened by the austerity of the final years of Farhad Moshiri’s ownership.
