Judge slams 'coward' who left victim unconscious

A "COWARD" left an elderly woman unconscious as a result of his “reckless” attempts to flee after he stole a phone from a customer in a Wetherspoons pub.

Lee Roach crashed his bike into the pensioner as he “tried to save his own skin” while being chased through the streets of Liverpool city centre by the victim of the theft.

The OAP suffered a permanent facial scar and a broken arm as a result of the incident, which came only months after Roach had set fire to his bedroom while facing eviction. The 50-year-old now says it is “time to grow up”.
