Reds defender eyeing more amid transfer links to Leverkusen

LIVERPOOL defender Jarell Quansah believes he is in the right place “to take the next step” in his career amid interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga side are believed to be admirers of Quansah, who struggled for minutes during a frustrating season at Liverpool having made an impressive senior breakthrough the previous campaign.

The 22-year-old made just four Premier League starts as the Reds romped to a record-equalling 20th title, with his main action coming in cup competitions where he made nine starts including featuring at right-back in the League Cup final defeat to Newcastle United.
