A MERSEYSIDE man arrested in connection with the double murder of two people in Spain was remanded in custody yesterday.

- By JAMIE GREER

Early yesterday, Merseyside Police said a 44-year-old man had been detained on Friday evening and appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.

The hearing was the start of extradition proceedings to Spain, and Michael Riley, 44, was remanded into custody to appear at the same court on June 19.
