Hundreds sign petition to protect town's 'transformational' wall art

A MERSEYSIDE man is hoping to protect one of the things that brought him back to a Wirral seaside resort.

New Brighton was recently named by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live by the sea in the UK.

Hundreds of people have now signed a petition Rory Wilmer set up to protect the murals that are dotted around the seaside resort, concentrated mainly around Victoria Road.

The petition argues the murals "have transformed streets, boosted local pride, and brought visitors back to the heart of our seaside town", involving the community in "creating something unique."
