Globetrotter Sarah is so happy to be flying solo

From shy child to confident traveller who loves exploring the world

A WOMAN who ‘used to be scared of her own shadow’ faced her fears by travelling the world, all on her own.

Solo traveller Sarah Madigan, from Halewood, was always a shy child who was “scared of everything,” until coronavirus hit the UK and she made a huge decision to move over 15,000km away from everyone she knew and loved.

Despite a few bumps in the road, the 28-year-old has now lived in multiple countries and spent over six years jet-setting across the world, sharing her journey with millions of people on social media.

Sarah told the ECHO: "I'd done Camp America [a working American summer camp] when I finished uni with a friend, I was so nervous doing it for the first time but I had heard amazing things and it just inspired me to bite the bullet and do it.
