Fire-ravaged house is eyesore on street

Home damaged in blaze two years ago

ALMOST two years on from a major fire that ripped through a residential property, those living nearby have lamented the “eyesore” they say has been left in its wake.

Emergency services received reports of a house fire on Grange Lane, Gateacre, just before 3am on August 25, 2023.

When firefighters arrived at the scene within five minutes they found a three-storey house on fire. Merseyside Police said they believed the fire was started inside the house but no injuries were reported.
