A SINGLE dad-of-three says he’s at his “wit’s end” as mould covers the walls of his living room.

- by CONAILL CORNER

Tom Bebb, 57, who lives in a flat in Kirkdale with his three boys, claims he calls housing association Torus, which owns and manages the property, “every morning” to try to resolve the issue, which he says is causing him and his sons to be ill.

Around a month ago, Tom says he was sleeping on the sofa in his house when his 12-year-old son Johnny came into his room. He told the ECHO: “He said that all the wallpaper was coming off in the living room.

“The mould is right the way along and it’s going up the wall. It started behind the television in the corner and it comes underneath the floor.”

Tom claims that the mould is caused by a leaking pipe in the flat next door. He said: “Next door had a leak and the guy living there was in hospital. Torus have put the guy next door in a hotel, sorted all his stuff out, and left us like this.”
