» No ticket to ride for driver in bus station

A DRIVER made an excuse to police after parking their van on the footpath of a main bus station.

Officers spotted the vehicle yesterday, parked on the footpath in the middle of Liverpool ONE bus station in the city centre.

When approached by police, the driver reportedly told them he had parked there because of a “broken phone screen”.

He was reported for traffic offences, which included the van being SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) off the road by the DVLA.
