Teenagers due in court over alleged attack with tree branch

TWO teenagers are due to appear in court after a man was allegedly punched and hit with a tree branch.

Merseyside Police were called at about 1.50am on Friday, October 10, with reports that the suspects began following a group of people on Smithdown Road in Wavertree and demanded their phones.

Police said one man was then punched in the back and hit with a tree branch. Following enquiries, two teenagers aged 13 and 14, from Wavertree, and who cannot be named for legal reasons, were arrested and have now been charged with robbery, three offences of attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
