POPULAR RESTAURANT TWICE HIT WITH LOWEST MARK FOR HYGIENE

- By LIAM THORP

A POPULAR Royal Albert Dock bar and restaurant has been hit with a zero star hygiene rating for the second time this year.

In April, the ECHO reported that Revolucion de Cuba had received the lowest rating for food hygiene following an inspection by Liverpool Council's environmental health team on March 11.

According to the inspection, the bar and restaurant - which has been based at the Albert Dock since 2016 - was required to improve urgently in the cooking and preparation of food, the cleanliness of the facilities and the management of food safety.

When the ECHO contacted the venue in April, we were told the business voluntarily closed to make sure the problems identified were dealt with.
