Parents's moving words as memorial hits target

MURDERED GIRLS' NAMES WILL LIVE ON IN NEW PLAYGROUND

THE parents of two of the Southport murder victims have spoken about their daughters as the plan for a playground in their memory takes another step forward.

More than £250,000 has been raised in a matter of weeks to create a new playground at Churchtown Primary School, which Alice da Silva Aguiar and Bebe King both attended.

Nine-year-old Alice and six-year-old Bebe were killed, alongside Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, when murderer Axel Rudakubana attacked a class of children at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class last year.

Since then, the families have supported the fundraiser to ensure their daughters' names live on.
