Maguire looking ahead after World experience

NATHAN MAGUIRE believes his medalwinning World Championship experience has equipped him with the tools required to challenge for more silverware at the LA 2028 Paralympics.

The Salford wheelchair racer, who studied at Liverpool John Moores, finished fifth in his T54 800m event after bagging bronze in the 1500m three days before in New Delhi.

Maguire, who won global bronze in Kobe over 800m last year, is now a two-time world medallist but remains without a Paralympic medal after a pair of fourthplace finishes in Pari:

He has taken significant confidence from his Indian campaign and hopes to emulate his podium exploits in the States in three years’ time.
