BANK OF NEW YORK OFFSHOOT EMPLOYS 250 STAFF IN CITY

JOBS could be at risk after an international company made the decision to close its office in the Royal Liver Building.

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY) has a number of offices around the world, including its Liverpool base on the Pier Head, which houses its subsidiary Pershing Securities Limited.

The ECHO understands that around 250 people work at BNY in Liverpool. The company is currently in a consultation process with employees based in Liverpool.
