FORMER BLUE HUTCHISON BELIEVES GREALISH HAS BEEN GIVEN FREE REIGN TO CAUSE HAVOC AT BLUES

- By PAUL WHEELOCK ECHO Reporter

F you asked most Everton supporters right now, the answer would be emphatic.

But rewind back exactly two months ago, and the response may have been different.

Not that there was not significant excitement among Evertonians when it was announced that Jack Grealish had signed on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

But when it was reported that the agreement included an option for the Blues to buy Grealish for £50million at the end of the campaign, there was some debate over whether that represented value for money.

That was and is understandable given the England international will be almost 31 next summer and had just a year left on his City contract.

But if a deal can be done with the Etihad outfit, it is one that would be lapped by Everton fans given the huge impact that Grealish has made during his short time at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Four assists, a dramatic winner against Crystal Palace last time out, and the first Premier League Player of the Month award of his career has led to loud calls for the 30-year-old to be reinstated into the England squad.
