Boss says Rovers need to be more consistent as they prepare to face Grimsby tonight

- By LOUIS PARR Tranmere Correspondent

TRANMERE boss Andy Crosby says last Saturday's draw to MK Dons was the most frustrating result of his tenure so far.

Rovers surrendered a two-goal lead with 12 minutes remaining - making it 11 points dropped from winning positions this season.

The Whites head to Grimsby Town this evening, and Crosby insists his side must improve defensively if they wish to climb the table.

He said: “From my time in charge here, we've had seven defeats in 30 games.

“That draw last week felt like every one of those defeats rolled into one. That's how disappointing it felt for me and the group.

“It’s not erased just yet, but we have to use the reasons as to why we only took a point as motivation going forward.
