'NO RESPECT FOR WHAT IT MEANT'

- By CHRISTOPHER MEGRATH

ARTIST Paul Curtis has told of his dismay at discovering his Baltic Triangle mural has been obliterated.

A coffee plant mural he described as one of his favourites has been cleared from its home on Brick Street.

Paul is the artist behind some of the city’s most vibrant artworks, including the popular Liver Bird wings, also in the Baltic, a 30-metre high Katrina Johnson-Thompson piece on Dale Street, and most recently a sprawling octopus displayed in Liverpool ONE.

Since 2017, Paul has created more than 250 public pieces across the UK, with most of his work found around Liverpool and Wirral.

Paul's coffee plant mural was created on Brick Street in December 2017.
