Bus lanes expected to be running in March

FRESH details have emerged about two new bus lanes to be introduced in Liverpool by the spring.

It was revealed in October how the city council is to reinstall two bus-only lanes in Fazakerley and Toxteth.

The lanes are to be adopted on a temporary basis under an experimental traffic regulation order (ETRO) for up to 18 months.

Communities in L8 and the north of the city are now being asked to give feedback on the plans.

A new frequently asked questions document linked to Liverpool Council's consultation has provided further information on how, where and when the lanes will work. It is likely the two lanes will now be operational in March of this year, rather than February as previously expected.
