Blues getting better...but we can't carry on leaning on Erl

PEP Guardiola hailed Everton's improvements under David Moyes as he admitted his Manchester City side are having to rely too much on Erling Haaland.

Moyes' men created the best opportunities to score in the first half at the Etihad Stadium.

But having failed to take their chances, they were defeated 2-0 by Haaland’s quickfire double soon after the break.

Guardiola said: “It was a typical first half after international break. We were not able to control the second balls, it wasn't easy.

“Everton and David Moyes are doing an incredible job. The quality is there and they have the long balls and experienced defenders.
