Plans to carry out repairs to former club

Plans have been lodged for fabric repairs to take place at a Helensburgh town centre premises, including works to its roof and stone exterior.

Bruce and Nicola Jamieson have lodged the proposal with Argyll and Bute Council for planning permission and listed building consent at the former Conservative Club at 38-40 Sinclair Street.

The ground floor of the premises was most recently owned by M&Co, with bakers Greggs having recently lodged a separate application to move into it. Mr and Mrs Jamieson are listed as owners of the first and second floors.

A decision from the council on the fabric repairs is expected by mid to late June, with the public able to view the plans and submit feedback.
