Council officials are targeting an upturn in developmental milestones for P1 pupils in Argyll and Bute, an officer has said.

A councillor raised the issue during a meeting after a report revealed a downward trend in the percentage of pupils achieving developmental milestones during their first primary year.

Councillor Gary Mulvaney also queried the lack of targets set by the council for National 5 and Higher pass rates, and sickness absences.
