'We're up for sale, but not closing...

THEATRE CONFIRMS BOOKINGS FOR 2026 'SHOULD GO AHEAD'

MELTON Theatre has confirmed it is not closing despite the site going up for sale.

The venue said its 2026 shows “should” go ahead as planned.

The Melton campus of what is now Loughborough College Group will be sold along with the 340-seat Melton Theatre, which has been on the site for nearly 50 years.

The campus in Asfordby Road was previously where performing arts students studied.

In a recent post on Facebook, made on Saturday, a spokesman for the theatre said: “We are up for sale, that doesn’t mean we are closing”
