School expansion under way on growing estate

A PRIMARY school on the growing New Lubbesthorpe estate is undergoing an expansion in a bid to cope with extra youngsters moving to the area.

Thousands of new homes are being built on former farm land near Leicester Forest East and the primary school in the area needs more classrooms as the estate grows.

The new building project, which has just begun, will see the school’s capacity rise from 420 to 630 pupils.
