Knowledge will be a benefit to Leek in new season, says boss

KNOWING the league will help Leek Town enormously next season as they prepare for a second term at Step 3.

Josh Brehaut's side not only escaped relegation, but did so by a mammoth 10 points in their first season in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

Being aware of the majority of clubs and their strengths will be a help and Brehaut, right, explained: “I think that is something we've discussed as a management team. We know already there will be around 15 teams that we will play again. And I think at the level that we're at, naturally some of the squads do turnover, they do change, the management changes and they have an overhaul.

“I also think at this level there are just as many that won't change that much.

“And I think you kind of get to learn the style of those clubs and those managers, who their best players are, the type of environment you are going into when you play them.”
