DAVID Wrightson top scored for Newdigate’s second team as they were beat by Kenley II in a low-scoring contest in the Surrey Championship Division Nine East.

Newdigate, opting to bat first after winning the toss, struggled early but managed to reach 94 before being bowled out. The innings was held together by Wrightson, who scored a gritty 54, accounting for over half the team's runs. He was eventually caught by Martin Xavier off the bowling of Aguilane Periasoamy.
