Strong Harriers' turnout returned a big medal haul in North West relays

Going head to head against seven other Lancashire clubs in the North West relays in Birkenhead, Preston Harriers came away with medals in the majority of age groups.

Harriers took a squad of more than 50 athletes to the relays, which incorporated the Lancashire Road Relay Championships.

The first race of the day was the U11 boys, who finished third.

The team was made up of Edward Rose, Oliver Cliff and Zachery Olorenshaw.

Then followed the U11 girls who finished second; the team was made up of Emily Holden, Julia Holden and Eden Wilkins, who was fastest Lancashire U11 girl on the day.

Next was the turn of the U13 boys, who ran strongly to finish first, Nathaniel White being the fastest Lancashire boy at that age group the day, alongside Harry Griffin and Patrick Piron.
